Born and bred in Sydney, Sally's interest and knowledge extends beyond the city to its beautiful harbour foreshores. Initially, her career began in Fashion Design and followed later into Retail Visual Merchandising which led her to travel overseas and experience new and challenging work opportunities. After some years, Sally studied Hotel Management in Switzerland at SHMS, where she gained a professional working knowledge of hotel operations and this proved to be invaluable experience while working as a Professional Tour Guide. Sally has worked and lived in London, Munich in Germany, Montreaux in Switzerland, where she learned to speak German and French. Upon returning to Australia, Sally has worked for 'Voyages Hotels and Resorts' at the remote Ayers Rock Resort in the Northern Territory, the beautiful boutique hotel 'Lakehouse' in Victoria, and beachside 'Stamford Grand' in Adelaide, South Australia. Her experience at these 4 and 5 star hotels and resorts involved the areas of Public Relations, Conference Sales and Banquet Management. In 2004, Sally began her career in guiding and is now a Professional Tour Guide through her membership with IATG - Institute of Australian Tour Guides. Sally has offered her services back to the industry as a member of the IATG Committee since early 2008. |
