Affiliate Membership

Affiliate membership is available to a range of people including those who are currently undertaking training to be a Guide; have recently graduated from training; have not yet gained sufficient work experience as a Guide (and cannot meet the Professional membership criteria); are interested in seeking work as a Guide; work as volunteer Guides or are retired Guides.

Affiliate members receive:

• regular famils, lectures, workshops and social functions
• access to informative IATG e-News and quarterly IATG Welcome newsletters
• networking opportunities with experienced Tour Guides and tourism operators

The cost to become an Affiliate Member of IATG is $75.00 (GST free) per annum.

Many Affiliate Members progress to Professional Membership when they have obtained enough experience as a working tour guide. Membership is for a 12-month period and is renewable if you are not able to apply for Professional Membership at the end of the first year of Affiliate Membership.
